JASON KNEBEL

Jason started his career developing technology for banking and financial services at Cognizant. After working for Cognizant, he launched into building new technology platforms for industry-leading e-commerce applications in the spirits, apparel, and non-profit spaces. Jason’s core focus is the intersection of financial services and online safety; at Acerium, Jason continues to apply his expertise in all technology matters relating to the security of our clients.

SEAN HECKER

MANAGING PARTNER

Sean is a seasoned international trader. He began his career at Titan Steel Corporation, where he received an extensive education in the sale and transport of steel worldwide. After his time at Titan, Sean branched into other commodities, with deep focus on financing and payment. Aside from trade and finance, Sean also works in real estate and manufacturing. His role at Acerium is business development through client relationships and new partnerships.

DIMA KISLOVSKIY

ADVISOR

Dima is a serial entrepreneur with extensive financial markets expertise. He previously worked for a commodities and FX trading hedge fund, managing trading teams in New York City and Hong Kong. Dima founded and manages a technology startup in the logistics and transportation space. He advises Acerium on corporate structure and compliance.

SUSANTI CARTER

COMPLIANCE DIRECTOR

Susanti is a respected AML/KYC expert with over 10 years experience in compliance program design. She previously led global customer due diligence for Payza, a payment processing and money transfer solution operating in over 190 countries. Susanti began her career as a document assessment specialist for one of Canada’s Big Five banks. She is responsible for both compliance program design and client onboarding at Acerium.

WALTER BAKER

ADVISOR

Walter (Buddy) is a nationally recognized expert in supply-chain finance, receivables purchasing, credit insurance, and standby and commercial letters of credit. His professional experience includes stints with Atradius Trade Credit Insurance, ABN AMRO Bank, Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, and The First National Bank of Chicago.

Buddy owns the consulting firm Global Trade Risk Management Strategies, which specializes in both online and on-site educational training. As a member of the National Letter of Credit Committee of the Bankers’ Association for Finance and Trade, the Advisory Council of the Institute for International Banking Law and Practice, and the Council for International Standby Practices, he is actively involved in establishing national and worldwide standard practices for LCs. Buddy participated in the most recent revision of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (referred to as “UCP600”), contributed to the creation of the official ICC guide for examining letter of credit documents, called the International Standard Banking Practices for the Examination of Documents under Documentary Credits, and served on the drafting committees for the International Standby Practices (“ISP98”) and Article 5 of the Uniform Commercial Code.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of International Credit and Trade Finance Professionals, a multinational association of export credit managers.

DARRYL PETTERS

ADVISOR

Darryl is an executive and consultant with more than 25 years of senior management experience in project management, bulk materials handling, and shipping. He is a skilled negotiator in both the private and public sectors, in domestic as well as foreign markets. Darryl has extensive knowledge of steel and metals manufacturing, processing, and distribution, with detailed experience in the development of logistics infrastructures. Darryl advises Acerium on matters of trade finance and security as it relates to trade finance standards. Darryl is also president of Shipdon LLC, a freight forwarding company based in Florida.
